Two more Great Oil Products to Consider:

French Florame Oil Serum. German Arya Laya Double Layer Oil Treatment

French Florame Anti-aging Oil Serum-high quality organic anti-aging gel serum to rich oil product, loaded with a great selection of very high quality oils including Madonna Lily oil extract….great for winter and dry to dehydrated skin types

German Arya Laya Double Layer Oil Treatment-innovative product for oily to combo skin types that want to have the moisture treatment of an oil but without the greasy feel of the actual oils contained in the product…very nice for summer-—great price point of 16-20 Euro in Europe.

Missha First Treatment Essence

Missha First Treatment Essence-this is a Must Have product for having great skin in terms of the overall skin condition and health. ( I have countless Thank you comments and email from people that I have recommended this treatment essence to). Think of it as your skin conditioner and an essential first step of your morning and evening routine. You can learn more about it by visiting: www.missha.net

Must Have Galactomyces Treatment Product 3 in 1 Toner-Lotion-Essence by Tony Moly – Bio Ex Multi-Cell Energy This can be used on its own, can replace Missha if you are minimalistic…but my strong recommendation and preference is to use it after Missha First treatment essence or after Tony Moly First treatment essence.

20140620_230033

As alternative to Tony Moly (which I now prefer to use at night)…I also love Dr. Tree 3-in 1 Essence-—this is a great product that feels very high-end. It is lite, yet it is very moisturising and smoothing and because of its lite consistency…it is my Must-have favourite in the morning and especially in Summer…this may be all you need after your Missha First Treatment Essence…as you may not need to use a lotion or a cream afterward…because it truly does a job for 3 products, lotion, essence and toner.

Another great 3-in-1 Essence Treatment. Shara Shara Honey Bomb All In One Ampoule -Honey, Royal Jelly, Peptides, Plant Extacts and much more….

Number 3 Favourite Snail Skincare-Korean Brand. Here are my videos featuring Scinic Snail products.

Hada Labo Super Hyaluronic Acid Moisturizing Lotion (Toner)

Hada Labo Super Hyaluronic Acid Moisturizing Lotion (Toner) best selling Japanese product for serious moisture with three types of hyaluronic acid to perfectly moisturise everyone from oily to super dry (sensitive) skin. I am using this product after my Missha First Treatment Essence every day (morning and night) before my moisturiser and have used it over moisturiser as well, even before make-up. A little goes a very long way, the product is not expensive and economical in usage. The most important thing is that it does the job done-which is hydrate and moisturise my skin.

Swanicoco Emulsions

These 3 are my favorite emulsions I highly recommend to try all three and this brand overall. However if you are only wanting to try one or two, then I would suggest the following:

Swanicoco Astraxan Repair Emulsion-most impressive ingredient listing here….and this also has the most moisturizing texture…so this is perfect for people concerned with ant-ageing and normal to very dry skin types.

Swanicoco Snail Fermentation Repair Emulsion-there is only 5% snail extract here but the product if Fantastic…it is nano-fermented and includes Epidermal factors, Rice ferment filtrate and Ginseng culture extract…I also absolutely adore the very faint smell of a tea rose here. The texture here is less moisturizing then the Asraxan option…but it is a nice balance between moisturizing and smoothing feel.

Swanicoco Snail White Bubble Mask

This is my favorite bubble mask which is super gentle, yet thoroughly cleansing, blackhead removing and most importantly Detoxifying product and it also does give your skin a nice even tone and healthy glow. Have a look at my video in this post below for the product in action. I would also like to mention that I am a big fan of the Swanicoco brand in general and I highly recommend their products, which are not the cheapest…but a definitely worth the price given the quality.

My Must Have Korean Beauty Serums These are the two serums I highly recommend, they are very affordable, very effective and are on par if not better then some of the most expensive Western brand serum products I have tried from Lancome, Christian Dior and La Parie.

Previous Pig collagen masks that I still highly recommend to try are listed in 2014 Must have products…however I think that Scinic Pig Collagen Mask…has outdone even the original Elizavecca version as listed in 2014 Must have products.

Korean Hydro-Gel Masks.

I am currently using : Tony Moly Intense Care Hydro-Gel Masks in three varieties:

1. Intense Repair Syn-ake (nutrition and moisture)

2. Intense Repair Live Snail (70% snail mucus-revitalizing)

3. Hyaluronic Acid. (silky and firm skin) My general recommendation is to include these masks into your beauty regimen and use them at least 3 times per week. These Hydro-gel masks are produced by many Korean beauty brands and have a huge option range in terms of essences they offer as a treatment, ranging from snail mucus to red ginseng to caviar and collagen extracts as well as many other botanical essences. I recommend to start with the Tony Moly brand as they have excellent quality and loads of actual essence in the hydro-gel masks which gives you a good benchmark when you are testing other brands.

Must Have Liquid Foundation ProductMaybelline Dream Wonder Nude Foundation.what I am also doing now is combining it with a Maybelline Dream Wonder Nude Foundation….with Kiko Milano Cushion foundation..because I like to be darker then my natural skin tone and it works amazing with a cushion application as well as very convenient to pour out into the cushion pack to carry and to apply whenever and wherever…however if you like to stay fairly pale…go for a Korean brand Cushion foundation in the pale colours available..for most Korean cushions…as these are  amazing and revolutionary products that we will all see Western brands copying very soon…as the brand has been the Biggest thing to hit the Asia beauty market since the launch of BB and CC creams.  The first non-asian brand to Copy Cushion foundation concept…is Pürminerals….here is a link to their version of the product which I have not tried. http://www.purminerals.com/Air-Perfection-CC-Cushion-Compact-Foundation

My original Secret Key Cushion foundation review-Asian Cushion Foundation product-Fantastic…but a little pale for me…now that I have Kiko Milano doing this product….I am loving how this brand has done a perfect version of this great Asian original.

Amazing and very versatile liquid foundation product with super natural yet buildable coverage with absolutely no caking that lasts all day and  has many interesting ways of using it. It also comes with a refill. My Updated Secret Key CC Cushion Review + Maybelline Dream Wonder Nude Foundation-application with the Face Shop Screen Cell Air Puff

Bobbi Brown Eye Shadows 3. Maybelline-Dream Wonder Fluid Touch Foundation 4. Bareminerals-stroke of light concealer/highlighter (number 1) 5. Clarins -liquid oil lip gloss 6. Givenchy Prisme bronzer

Must Have Gold Star Fish Mizon Product This is truly great for Winter, it is not too heavy but is very smoothing and hydrating, luxurious high-end texture that is an indulgence to use. Unique ingredients not found in other creams-such as the star fish extract which is very regenerative for ageing dry skin…or can also be used as an excellent preventative measure. I think slightly oily to very dry skin types will enjoy this cream…put it on at night and wake up with significantly less wrinkles. It is one of my very favourite creams I have. Mario Badescu Drying Lotion-Must have product against pimples

This product is Fantastic for drying up even your biggest-cant-pop pimples virtually overnight. Developed in the seventies, it is a world-wide hit and has been copied by many brands. My recommendation is to stick with the original because it is absolutely fail-proof way to get rid of your pimples without irritating your skin-like you can with OXY and similar type products.

Dr.Myers CO2 Miracle Home Peeling kit. Microdermabrasion Peel and Oxygen exfoliating facial at home Great way to get three treatments from one little kit under 30 USD

3 treatments in one:
1. a microelectronics physical exfoliation with sugar polymers infused with vitamins and peptides to gently purify skin and exfoliate dead cells,
2. a chemical exfoliation via LACTIC ACID, SALICYLIC ACID and GLYCOLIC ACID further eliminates any remaining dead skin cells from the first step.
3. an oxygen facial as compressed oxygen particles gently foam up the whole treatment on my skin and detoxify it and help even my skin tone and improve clarity of my skin.

Must Have Department Store Classic-Worldwide
Very Famous and much Coveted Creme de la Mer moisturiser.

Must Have Anti-aging Swiss Skin Care Brand-SwissCode
I absolutely loving these super potent products based on a high concentration of clinical ingredients and plant stem cells.
I love the whole brand, however it is pretty pricey, hence if you are looking to give it a try the following two products are my strongest recommendations.

 and

Must Have Super Budget Body Lotion -in Case you can’t get Natura Siberica products…I recommend this lotion from Garnier…personally, once I finish mine…I am no longer be using it…since I am totally devoted to Natura Siberica…and highly recommend them over all the hair and body products I have ever tried for the last 36 years.

Garnier Body Oil Beauty Oil-Infused Restoring Lotion for Extra Dry Skin

Very impressive lotion for an unbelievable price of 6 Swiss Franc-4 high quality Moisturising and Repairing oils provide 48 hour moisture , great fragrance and a luxurious buttery feel. (babassu-shea-avocado-almond)—-please do not confuse it with the original Garnier Body oil Lotion meat for dry skin-which has almond-macademia-almond-rose oils….which in my opinion wasn’t that effective….and the new repairing version is much better and can be compared to some of the high-end body lotions…such as Kiehls Creme de Corps and Josie Moran Whipped body butter….these products have a different high-end consistency—-but in my opinion….the new Garnier Body Oil lotion delivers the same 48 hour moisture result though…and is probably the most luxurious body product available in the mass market body lotion category.

Gonyak Soft Jelly in Cleasing Cream Garnier Micellar Water-Best performing and budget friendly

https://iamabeautyjunkee.wordpress.com/2014/02/05/garnier-vs-bioderma-the-battle-of-micellar-waters/

Fantastic Micellar water that will remove your entire makeup including mascara, and will also perform brilliantly as a standalone cleanser even though it looks like water. Its cleansing powers are very effective-especially when paired with Garnier Micellar water wipes (I use the pink ones for dry and sensitive skin). Generous product size, pleasant rosy fragrance, skin toning and moisturizing.

Scinic Aqua Cleansing Treatment-My New Favorite Cleanser

https://iamabeautyjunkee.wordpress.com/2014/03/20/scinic-aqua-cleansing-treatment-my-new-favorite-cleanser/ This is really cool little cleanser that sprays like a spray but feels like an oil-gel-serum and yet it is not oil based, contains see water, lots of different plant and marine extracts, Aloe Vera and ginseng extract. Works great to remove all make up even mascara-non-greasy but very moisturizing an overall luxurious feel…very impressed….also very convenient for travelling 20140320_213533 Daltokki Facial Scrub (based on Sticky Rice)-this has dual function-Cleansing Mask and a Scrub-I am totally in love with this unique product. https://iamabeautyjunkee.wordpress.com/2014/10/23/daltokki-scrub-tony-moly-peeling-me-aqua-moisture-gel-mizon-apple-smoothie-peeling-gel-review-and-demo/ 11 Scinic Aqua EX Black Essence Water. Elizavecca Green Piggy Collagen Jella Pack. (this blog contains videos for both products) https://iamabeautyjunkee.wordpress.com/2014/07/20/elizavecca-green-piggy-collagen-jella-pack-review-and-demo/ I was totally grossed out by this product before I tried it and, since I did, I totally love it and cannot recommend it high enough…in fact I am buying more from this brand…I am amazed how they can do this quality for under 10 USD. 00611-capture and Tony Moly pig Collagen Mask This is a Must Have Sleeping Mask Pack and Collagen Product-strong smoothing and anti-wrinkle benefits, does not add oil or enlarge pores, very versatile cream can be used as the last step or as the first step in your beauty routine, or can also be placed in the middle of your beauty regime, after you have applied some products and before applying additional products on top of this cream….lite yet powerful. 20140619_200920 I actually love layering these two masks on top of each other. The Elizavecca product is more lifting and the Tony Moly product is more moisturizing and anti-wrinkle. Korean Hydro-Gel Masks. https://iamabeautyjunkee.wordpress.com/2014/02/20/korean-hydro-gel-masks-tony-moly-syn-ake-live-snail-hyaluronic-acid/ I am currently using Tony Moly Intense Care Hydro-Gel Masks in three varieties: 1. 3. kameleh

dear Lily, i was thinking about buying a snail cream. Tony moly 24k snail cream is a little bit pricey for me. what is your opinion on mizon snail wrinkle care sleeping pack? ….. thanks in advance

    1. Dear Kameleh:)

perfect question…I just did a review of the Mizon Snail wrinkle care sleeping pack back on the 1st of April…please have a ook at that post…..good product but ridiculously sticky and I much prefer their good night wrinkle sleeping mask which is a fantastic product for the price. As far as a great snail cream on a budget…I am in love with Scinic Snail cream and it is 10 USD for 120ml on Gmarket and not much more expensive then that on Ebay…the whole 6 Product Snail pack from Scinic is 34 USD on Gmarket and I think about 60 USD on Ebay…I am using Tony Moly 24 K snail cream as well…and I have to say it is great…but believe it or not…I now prefer Scinic Snail cream over that version of Tony Moly snail cream…as it is too rich for me…as you know Tony Moly products tend to be very rich and good for dry to very dry skin types…in fact I will be reviewing Scinic Snail cream as a the cream that won my Battle of Korean snail creams Part 2 (do checkout part 1-under the Korean snail cream category) out of like 10 brands I have tried:)…so don’t worry about cheap price of Scinic Snail cream…the product is great…do let me know your opinion on it…when you get it:)…best regards…Lily…p.s… if you shop on en.koreadepart… their best selling brand is Jaminkyung…I have 2 versions of their cream..also great products and Very budget friendly-there are constant deals on them where you can pick up 3 for 24USD (there is a combination of original and intensive versions)-both are great:)…I am using both as well…but again…Scinic is even better:)…do let me know when you decide which one to buy and your experience with the product…best regards…Lily

  4. kameleh

thanks a lot dear Lily, you made it easy for me by your wonderful and great advice. i am definitely going to buy scinic snail cream. it is the first time i am buying and going to use a snail cream. i have seen your mizon snail sleeping pack review. the only problem you said was stickiness of the sleeping pack so i thought it is not a big problem for me if it works.

however you are a great person. you give me a lot of information about the websites and prices. i hope you have had a great day today. i am messaging you from uk and i hope the shipping from gmarket is not going to be too expensive. definitely i am going to let you know. my experience with the snail cream.

    best wishes…. kameleh

    1. Dear Kameleh,

thank you for your sweet words and support..I am very touched by how nice you are:)…also another little tip for you…Boots in UK sell Dr. Jart snail cream and ampoule…it is very good and the first snail cream I tried..I even got one for my mom…it is a little pricey but perhaps they have a promotion running to help you experience the product….in any case…I think budget-wise and product-wise…Scinic is best so far:)..have a great day and Best regards Lily…

  5. kameleh

Hi Lily, I hope you are doing well. ordered my scinic snail cream, through your informative blog and channel i was introduced to syn ake skin care. i need your opinion. which brand do you recommend.

    best wishes….. kameleh

    1. Dear Kameleh, I am good thank you and I hope you are also dong very well and enjoying all the beautiful products:)…do let me know how you go with Scinic I would be most interested to hear about your experience…I am also having good results with Skin Watchers EGF snail cream and would soon be recommending it as my 2nd must have snail product after Scinic…in regards to Syn-Ake—I have done a review on Tony Moly Syn ake line-a great anti ageing skincare—it is a little pricey however it is very effective for dry aging skin….my other favourite brand for Syn-Ake is Ariany and they have a 4 product set available on Gmarket for 56 USD which is much cheaper then Tony…but dare I say…as effective…however even if you go for Ariany do get Tony Moly Syn-ake hydrogel mask…it is my Must have product an has strong anti-aging effects…plus there is so much serum in the packaging–you will be able to use it for 3 to 5 days after you use the mask…I hope this helps…do let me know how you go and best of luck…also Tony has just released an updated version of Syn-ake cream I showed which has gold added to it…I will be trying that as well shortly and reviewing it…good to hear from you…keep in touch:…Lily

  6. kameleh

thank you very much Lily, you are a amazing person. i love your blog and you tube channel because it is full of great information about skin care. Diffidently i am going to let you know about my experience with scinic.
    best regards….. kameleh

    1. Dear Kameleh….my pleasure…I am always happy to help and thank you very much for your kind words—Best regards-Lily…I am excited to hear back from you in regards to Scinic…and also do try the Skin Watchers cream as well to complement Scinic…keep in touch:)

  7. Kristy

Hi Lily, thank you for the must-have list. I love your blog and your products review. I’ll definitely buy some of these products on my next beauty-haul (I am addicted to skincare too). What is your must-have eye cream (for anti-wrinkle)?

    1. Dear Kristy, thank you so much for you kind words…I really appreciate it:)…I do mention in several of my videos that I dont really purposefully buy an eye cream as I think it is best to use a good anti-ageing cream there…just sparingly though…I also love putting serums under my eyes for extra boost. I have to eye creams now that came as part of a package deal from Gmarket and these are Scinic snail eye cream and Skin House eye cream…both are very good…I do prefer Scinic one though….I think La Mer original cream makes for a great eye cream…even at 200 USD for the 30 ml…if you use it as an eye cream it can last you a year to 18 months…so less then 20 USD a month for an eye cream…I think this option is full proof for me….also I love Scinic serums under my eyes at the moment, all of them the peptide, the bifida and especially the placenta one as this one is particularly hydrating:)…I have also invested into huyaleronic serum from a German brand I will review shortly…and that works very good under eyes…so stay tuned for that:)…Best regards…Lily

  8. Tamara

Hello Lily! Thank you so much for your blog and youtube channel ( l like informative videos). I just recently discovered Korean skincare for myself (live in Canada) and your videos very helpful !!! I was wondering if you tried a Secret Key – Starting Treatment Essence? Is it the copy of MISSHA one? Does it give the same feeling as MISSHA? Also about your snail creams battle: I personally don’t like the fact that “secret key’ and “skinwatchers” didn’t put percentage of a snail extract on a package ( correct me if I am wrong) and when I asked e-bay seller about how many % of a snail extract in “secret key” he said 75-80% but on koreadepart they put “1%”!!! So, anyway it would be nice if manufacturer mention it on a box openly….
A little tip about hyaluronic acid serums…as a chemist… they all great… but even better when Hyaluronic acid on a second place in ingredients list after water ( means high concentration). In “Hada Labo Super Hyaluronic Acid” it somewhere on a middle
P.s: you should have try MIZON “All In One Snail Repair Cream” instead of “perfect” one 🙂
    Thanks for ur time,
Best wishes and have a wonderful day!
    Tamara.

    1. Dear Tamara, thank you for your support, to answer your question, I have not tried the Secret key starting Essence, but I have just ordered Tony Moly First Treatment essence in a spray, which is a lighter version as compared to pour out of the bottle Treatment and cant wait to receive to try it…Tony Moly has now also done a fantastic Galactomyces 3 in 1 Product which can replace Missha essence if you wanted to…but I am of the opinion that you can never have too many galactomyces products and hence I will still continue to use the first treatment essence either by Missha or Tony Moly before the new 3 in 1 Bio Essence….also on the topic I have the first treatment essence and galactomyces cream from Scinic and I do not like them as much as I love Scinic…s far as Mizon…I was not too impressed by all of their snail product I have tried which are the All in one blakc snail cream, the snail amouple and the perfect snail cream…so I am a bit hesitent to try the originial…perhaps at a later stage i will…(as they say curiousity killed the cat)….AS far as Skinwatchers and secret key snail products…both are very good…and i think the 1% is actyally a typo on the en.korean depart…because I am positive that both products are advertised as having 90% snail extract..regardless of the actual percentage…both these product are very good and effective…Also thank you for the tip about hyaluronic acid…I am on a look out for the serum type product…whould you recommend another brand apart from hada labo…as so far to me these are the best Hualuronic based products that i have tried so far:)…..looking forward to hear back from you…best regards…Lily

  9. Tamara

Hi Lili! I’v been using a few hyaluronic serums from our local health food store (wholefoods) or “vitacost” website (cause I’m a little bit into oils as well as ready skincare products) they sell organic stuff… they all good, but nothing I would highly recommend. I just ordered a few Korean serums , so I’ll let you know if I find “The One” :-)BTW just watched ur Gmarket video and was surprised that u r Russian ( I would never guess) I am Russian as well :-), I am a big e-bay fan but will look into Gmarket…. I have a question about shipping though…when u trying to estimate it on a Gmarket do u consider weight of a product( let’s say I have a 10 creams in my shopping cart & each of them 50 ml, should I assume that the shipping cost gonna be for 0.5 kg or if I take into consideration packaging from different sellers it’s gonna be more then 0.5 kg) or u don’t bother with it & they will show shipping fee before checkout ? thanks a lot
I really appreciate that u spend ur time & review so many Korean products cause it helps to make a choice and not a lot of youtube channels about Asian skincare.I personally see a huge difference in my skin (while using Korean skincare) and the difference in price between good western brand & Korean one.
    Best wishes, Tamara

    1. Soraya

Hello! I really love your posts! Thank you for sharing your experiences! I am Brazilian and I have oily skin and my pores are dilated in my T zone. I am researching about products that clean and constrict the pores … I read about the specific line of Laneige … and quite liked the Ciracle. Have you heard of this brand? Have some indication to me? And finally I would like to ask if you know someone like you, that write reliable posts, but has oily skin.

      Best wishes, Soraya.

      1. Dear Soraya, thank you very much for your support. I do have oily t-zone and I can certainly relate to someone with an oily skin type…I would definitely recommend Ciracle over Lanage for oily skin types and also Dr Tosowoong…is great…they have this pore minimizing essence in the green packaging that delivered fantastic results overnight…I have used it before…and will repurchase it soon…and recommend it as my must have pore product…here is a video on Tosowoong products for you http://youtu.be/achVoupkl6Y let me know how you go with Ciracle…they have quite a few products for oily skin type and also for cleaning and minimising pores…best regards…Lily

    2. Dear Tamara..thank you for your Support:) and kind words…much appreciated…yes I am indeed Russian…or technically from Ukraine…Odessa…left in 1992 and spent 20 years in Australia…now live in Switzerland:)….like you…since discovering Korean skincare…I have made a huge difference to my skin using these products…even though I do intend to keep trying some of the most reputable western ones as well…and you can also never discount some of the really good niche French brands…mostly available when you travel there…or I also list on my site here a great online retailer in my online shopping section….that ships from France all over the world for free if you buy 99 Eros worth…and has true French prices…talk about Bioderma at 8 Euro for 500ml:)…to answer your question…Gmarket updates shipping as soon as you put an item to your cart…so you always know the total cost upfront…super easy to use…especially great for package deals as shipping does run up to about 40 USD on a 200 USD dollar spend…but the amount of products you get is totally worth it….best regards…Lily

  10. My brother suggested I may like this web site. He was
once entirely right. This put up actually made my day.
You cann’t consider simply how much time I had spent for this information! Thanks!

  11. It’s actually a great and useful piece of information. I’m happy that
you simply shared this helpful info with us.
Please stay us up to date like this. Thanks for sharing.

  12. K

Thank you so much for all of your reviews and opinions! I really love reading this blog and I think your skin looks great. You seem like such a nice and honest person and that seems to be rare these days (I’m half russian by the way 😉 ). Please carry on with what you do, you help so many people every day. I love it.

I have a question for you and I hope that you can answer:
You mentioned somewhere that you don’t buy eye creams but instead use regular creams on your eyes. I tried that and it didn’t really work with my regular face creams and serums. My eye area got itchy and red… and I think it dried out too much and I got some lines under my eyes after that 😦 now I don’t know what to do, nothing seems to work on that area. I tried the Mizon collagen eye cream and the Secret Key Snail eye cream and it didn’t do anything, it wasn’t rich enough (my eye area is extremely thin and gets really dry after I wash my face).
Do you have any idea what I should do?

    1. Hi sweety, thank you so much for your kind words, I am doing a review this weekend for a company called SwissCode, this is an amazing swiss brand…it is pricey, however I would highly recommend their
vitamin F serum for yourself if you need a very hydrating effect on your skin that is safe to use under the eyes. Also I found that Relle anti-aging snail cream worked great under the eyes even though it is not an eye product…I do have a couple of eye creams that I rarely experiment with, I find that dr. Tree (available on ebay-from F2plus)-their Volufiline product is actually very good for an eye cream if you want one…and also their volufiline serum can be used under the eye which is very hydrating…in general you can pic up their 3 in 1 essence, 80 ml mousturiser, serum and an eye cream for 96 USD…for everything on Ebay..(fantastic deal and product)-I will review it soon as I am totally in love with their 3 in 1 essence and will put it as my must have product soon. Also what you can do…which will look like a massive splurge at first…but is actually a very good value because it will last you for a year if you use it as an eye cream ( I am talking about Creme de la Mer)-in department store for about 200 USD for 30 ML (the original product)-this is trully hydrating and is absolutely safe for under-eye area. I would love to hear which product you will end up getting and please do let me know if my advice have helped you…Best regards…Lily

      1. K

Thanks for your quick and detailed reply! I’ve researched the products you’ve mentioned and alrerady considering to purchase some dr. Tree products. I’m sure the other product (creme de la mer) is great but I just can’t afford to buy such expensive creams at the moment, haha.
Do you know any cheap(er) products that I could use under my eyes that are very moisturizing and on the heavier side? Also I was thinking… maybe it’s possible to use the Elizavecca Green Piggy Collagen Pack under the eyes at night? I’m not sure if its gentle enough.

        Best wishes,
        K

      2. Dear K…I think if you want a super moisturising treatment that is lite in texture..try No7 Son Ba Hui..Horse oil…I did a blog on it…let me know if you cant find it on Youtube or wordpress search option…I think I put it under Horse oil tab…let me know how you go with it…if used as an eye cream it will last for ages…best regards…Lily…also Elizavecca is amazing…and absolutely safe around i area…I smear my face all over it..I do find it more lifting then moisturising though…for a more moisturising pig collagen mask…try the tony moly verison..I did a blog on it as well:)

  13. Kxxx

    Dear Lily,

I’m really curious about the dr. tree 3 in 1 essence. Is it still a must-have product for you or is it just a nice-to-have product? Can it be used as a lotion/emulsion before the cream step? There seems to be an essence from secret key (botoc fill serum)… I’m not sure which one is better.

    Best regards 🙂

    1. Dear Kxxx, Dr. Tree 3-in-1 essence is still an absolute must have, in fact I am reviewing this whole line this weekend:)… The Secret Key product is a huge Miss for me…I have it and it did absolutely nothing at 28 USD, I was super surprised by that…as Secret Key normally has very good quality products at crazy low prices, their snail range is great at a super cheap price….so Dr. Tree 3-in-1 essence is going on my must have list…this weekend:)… Best regards…lily

      1. Kxxx

Thank you, I’m really looking foward to your rewiew! 🙂

      2. coming later on today:)…cheers Lily

Argan/ Rosehip/Macadamia ets… oils…
    Отличного Вам дня, Тамара 🙂

  15. Lily I am curious about the tosowoong product you mentioned regarding pores? Which one is it please? Xx

    1. Dear Lucrece, this product is a Tosowoon Pore-RX Tightening Serum..here is a full info from wish trend for it….it worked overnight for me:)

      http://www.wishtrend.com/skin-care/791-tosowoong-pore-rx-tightening-serum.html

      best regards…lily

      1. Julia

Hi Lily, do you still using this (Pore-RX tightening serum)? I’d like to try this product as well cause my pores are get clogged so often last months((

      2. Dear Julia, yes I still am…please note that it is tightening pores but not cleansing them…Daltoki scrub I have reviewed is great for that…best regards…Lily

      3. Julia

Thank you Lily for clarifying! I can’t find Dal tokki anywhere! It’s out of stock on Gmarket right now! Do you have any ideas why I am having a clogged pores that not like pimples but more like single little bumps? Usually I have them on my chin and forehead area, but they can be anywhere. I put Mario Badescku drying lotion on over them every night. It seems help a bit but still have to extract them out poking with a needle. They are not red but colorless bumps (seems to me like a clogged pore, not sure though) and when I am extracting them with my fingers there is a dry long stick coming out. I don’t know how to explain to you more clearly. Sorry for gross details.

      4. Dear Julia,

here is a link for for en.koreandepart for the daltokki scrub….i am also going to recommend another great product for you from a non-korean brand that did wonders for me and my friends when we were still using western brands and had pimples, white heads and congested skins…the brand I am talking about is Alpha-H…it is a salon brand from Australia which is now sold worldwide….you only need one product there to see results…and it is their best seller..called Alpha-H Liquid Gold…it is a glycol acid based refiner that is fantastic for very congested skin…here is a link to it:

        https://www.alpha-h.com/Products/Collections/Liquid-Gold/Liquid-Gold.aspx

please let me know your experience with these products if you do get them…best regards..lily

      5. Julia

Dear Lily! Thank you sooo much for your help! You are such a nice girl! You are a gem for me! I am so happy to found your blog! I want to try all the products you advise (I already have a list, esp for your must have products), but i will do it one at a time since I am on a budget. I will definitely let you know about the results of those products if I get them! Best! Julia

      6. Dear Julia,

Thank you so much for your kind words…you sound beautiful and I am sure together we will make you look your best.

        Best regards
        Lily

  16. Thank you pal!
    Kindest regards
    Xx Lucrece

    1. my pleasure:)…cheers..lily

  17. Jess

    Dear Lily,
What Korean skincare products would you recommend for older women? I’d like to buy my mother (she’s 56) some gifts for Christmas and I live in South Korea. Do you have any recommendations for wrinkle care?

    1. Dear Jess…how very lucky are you living in South Korea:)…great question regarding Korean products for older women…I just got Scinic Snail Set with Red Ginseng…it would make a beautiful gift for an older woman…I was just thinking that the other day…that it is too intensive for me…and I will just keep using the luxurious snail cream from this set…as layering all products together is really intensive and is much better for somebody older…here is a Gmarket link for you for the pack:
      http://item2.gmarket.co.kr/English/detailview/item.aspx?goodscode=630276618
I also think…it should be available in a Scinic shop in Korea…again…you are so lucky…!!!….best regards…and Merry Xmas:)….Lily

  18. Jess

Also, do you know of any great products that target oily T-zones and combination skin? I’m trying to use products that have a PH level lower than 6, which has made some difference, but my T-zone is still a bit oily by the end of the day. My daily routine is a first treatment essence+BHA toner+Hada Labo light lotion+Vitamin C ampoule+OST Vitamin C serum+ hyaluronic acid emulsion+pig collagen mask(at night).

    1. Dear Jess, I am not sure if you know about Etude House Wonder Pore range….it has a million and one raves on the net about how effective it is in oil and pore control…here is a link for you:
      http://deals.bigsale.com.my/deals/122554/wonder-pore-series-deal.aspx
I have personally never tried it…but given the raves and the fact that it is cheap…I would say that it is worth a try…the star product there is Wonder Pore Freshner:
http://www.prettyandcute.com/Etude-House-Wonder-Pore-Freshner-p5121.html……if you do buy it…please let me know…as I have an oily t-zone myself…and it would be good to uses gentle oil control product….best regards…lily

      1. Jess

        Dear Lily,
Thanks for the recommendation. I have a few products from Scinic and they’re great, but the red ginseng line is a little out of my price range (I may just buy her one thing from that line).

I actually just finished a bottle of Etude House’s Wonder Pore Freshner. It’s a great value for the money (500ml for about $7USD), but it wasn’t that impressive. It didn’t minimize my pores or help reduce sebum production. My t-zone was still oily by the end of the day. It’s mildly moisturizing (it supposedly maintains a ph level of 4.5) and it didn’t irritate my skin or cause any breakouts, but it didn’t do anything spectacular either.

      2. Dear Jess, you are absolutely right…just the cream is worth it from the new Scinic Ginseng and snail line…as it is so rich and intensive…layering it over other products in this range is an unnecessary overkill….in terms of Pores …a great more minimiser I have used is from Dr Tosowoong…Pore Rx tightening serum, it is available from http://www.wishtrend.com, ebay and gmarket…also I have not tried but I heard that Scinic volcanic clay mask is great and oil control toner in the green bottle are rest products for getting rid f oil and blackheads…same great reviews on Caolion products and Ciracle ones…perhaps give those a try to see improvements…my T-zone is only slightly oily…so that is why I am not aggressively pursuing oil control products….but I will definitely try Caolion products in a near future before I try the Scinic ones…in terms of deep cleansing pores and controlling oil:)….best regards…lily

  19. shahrzadkl

Dear Lily, Thank you so much for introducing me to these wonderful products.
Hada labo lotion is great. I never believed that moisturizing would help to reduce sebum production, but now I can see this happening in front of my eyes!

Also, I’m in love with Scinic already! All the products are fantastic and with such great prices! I like the black jelly and aqua creams and my mother is in love with the snail cream.
I used the clay mask too ( the light green one), but I’m not sure about it. This is the second clay mask that I have used so I cannot decide if it’s supposed to be like this or not! The other clay mask that I have used is from Dr. Murad and it dries very fast and you can wash it off easily. This one takes a long time to dry, becomes a little painful and cleaning it is veryyyy hard!

I will definately buy some more in future when I manage to finish my current ones.

    1. Dear Shahrzadkl, thank you so much for your nice words and for your support…I am so happy to hear that my little advice is helping you and your mom…have a fantastic Holiday season with your new beautiful skin to show off now!….best regards…Lily

  20. Van

    Hi Lily,

    It’s Van again 🙂

I am looking for wrinkle-reduction products for my Mom who is 60 yrs old. I saw that you suggested Scinic Snail Set with Red Ginseng cream to someone asking a similar question, but also saw your review on the great wrinkle reduction benefit of Mizon Gold Star Fish cream. Which do you think have more “turn back the clock” function?

    Many thanks,
    Van

    1. Dear Van…I would say…get Mizon Gold Star Fish Cream…and Scinic Pig Collagen Cream (new Must have)-as it will replace both my Tony moly and Elizavecca versions…..so I recommend it also instead of the Scinic Red Ginseng Snail cream…as I am having such mixed feelings about it -one day I love it and one day I dont-(it is the best product in the set)—but somehow it is too intensive and sticky and I don’t know if I see enough results with it. even given how intensive it is..in terms of anti-aging Snail cream…the new version from Tony Moly…Timeless range…is fantastic….and is now my 2nd favourite Snail product in terms of anti-aging after Relle…I do keep recommending the original Scinic set though to try…but in terms of anti-aging…it is definitely Tony Moly now and Relle….best regards…Lily

  21. Hey Lily, let me just say that i love your vids and blog ! They’re very helpful ! I’ve listed down a few products i want to try but i just want to be sure they’re right for me so can you please help me out ? Im 16 years old (turning 17 this May),with normal-dry,senstive skin.My only skin problem is that its NOT smooth !! Like sometimes i can see these small bumps on my face ! Im currently following a routine my doctor suggested.Im looking for a product that’ll also improve my skin’s elasticity. So far these are the ones i’ve considered :

-Missha Time Revolution night repair science activator ampoule
    -Missha First treatment essence
-The Faceshop baby face collagen pomegranate pack
-Missha secret recipe firming pomegranate mask
    -OST vitamin C20 serum
    -Its skin CO/GF/YE/WH effector
-The faceshop rice water brightening cleansing light oil.

Can you recommend me any other products ? (Under 50 USD dollars if possible). Thanks alot ! 😀

    Sabera..

    1. Dear Sabytonni…I would honestly recommend to stick with your doctor`s recommendations because if there is a doctor involved then it may be something a little more serious then just a general skin problem, and since I am not a doctor…I am a little hesitant to give out general beauty advice if there is a doctor prescribed regimen that you follow….i hope you can understand where i am coming from…best regards…Lily

      1. Oh ok i understand ! Thnk you,your very nice !

    Hello Lily,

Thank you for your wonderful blog and all your hard work keeping us all informed on the best in beauty. It has become imperative to me to read your blog before I make any Asian skincare purchases. I was actually just about to buy the Elizavecca Pig Collagen Jelly Mask that you previously recommended, but now I see the rave for the Scinic version.

I know you have a video review on the way, but as I need to buy something ASAP, would you please tell me what exactly makes you prefer the Scinic Pig Collagen Cream Over the Elizavecca? (I’ve never used either brand) And where and for how much you purchased your Scinic?

My big skin concerns are anti/wrinkle line-reduction and moisturising as my skin is on the dry side. Thanks so much for both your amazing blog and your help.

    Cheers, Jeannie

    1. Dear Jeannie, thank you so much for your kind words…much appreciated. To come back to you and answer your question…as you know all last year I was using both Eizavecca and Tony Molly…Elizavecca for lifting and Tony Moly for anti-wrinkle….but when I tried Scinic I discovered three benefits from all three brands that I have tried here…in a sense of that…Scinic Pig Collagen cream…it is very moisturising, gives volume to hollow areas in the face, anti-wrinkle and lifting….I think Scinic outdone ELizavecca…in terms of Scinic combining the lifting benefits of Elizavecca…with Tony Moly`s anti-wrinkle version of the Pig collagen mask and it is as light as Holika Holika version of the Pig collagen mask. I am hoping I have answered your question here…have a fantastic weekend..and please do let me know how you go with the product once you do finally try it…best regards…Lily

Oh Lily, what an amazing response. First, thank you for getting back to me so quickly. I practically had my finger ready to click to order the Elizavecca when I happened across your words about the Scinic brand. It sounds like we have many of the same skin concerns, so I trust your opinion. You pinpointed the 3 most important factors I hoped for in this cream; the anti-wrinkle, the tightening and the moisturising properties, as well as the lightness of the formula. I’m happy to know all of these are present in the Scinic. I was under the assumption that Elizavecca was also anti-wrinkle, but you clarified that for me perfectly. I would have been very upset to try yet another cream and not get any result, or have to mix it with other things to get the right combination.

I have high hopes for the Scinic if it’s anything as good as the Elizavecca. Two friends who have tried the Elizavecca both said they saw a change in their skin after one application. I’ll try not to have unreasonable expectations. 😉

I am finding the Scinic cream at around $20-25 US on places like Ebay and Jolse. Is that near what you spent for yours?

I will search for the Scenic, and let you know once I have it and tried it. Thank you again so much, dear Lily, for your guidance and kindness. And I hope you have a wonderful and relaxing weekend. 😀

    Cheers, Jeannie

    1. Dear Jeannie, I bought my Scinic on Gmarket it is the best value for money deals there even if you pay delivery fee….because Scinic has their own registered shop there…they do fantastic value packs there…and I got mine for 15 USD…but if you want to buy individual products, the yu are better off with Ebay so you can avoid shipping cost for one product…Gmarket is best for larger multi-pack orders….best regards…lily

  25. Soraya

Hello !!! Again congratulations and thanks for the attention and affection! I would like to know your opinion … I bought some products and won Pestige line sambles from It’s skin. Remembering that I have oily skin and some blackheads/acne… Thanks!!! Soraya

    1. Dear Soraya Prestige snail cream is fantastic…I tried samples of it before…and I think this year I want to go back and purchase full size…so I am sure you will love it…it is a very delicate cream…and Its skin is a very good quality brand as a whole…best regards…lily

  30. Suki

    Hi!
Must say I’m loving this blog for over a year now. So much amazing and useful informations about anti-aging (my no.1 priority)!
Since the sun is the worst enemy of the aging skin I was wondering if you’re using sunscreens and which are your favourite ones.

    1. Dear Suki…thank you so much for your support…much appreciated. I must say I am pretty bad with sunscreens but then again I don’t spend too much time in the sun…from Korean brands…I have used Scinic Sun Essence and it is a great product, light, high protection SPF and not expensive….here is a link to it:)

  31. Hi lily,
I see you have some su:m37 samples. What’s your opinion about this brand? I love its gel lotion by the way.

    1. Dear Shahrzadkl…I really like Su:m37 but not everything..some items are very ice and some are overpriced in my opinion…sometimes it also feels like History of Whoo for the younger girl and skin type…these two companies actually belong to one corporation…so sometimes I wonder..if this was a specific marketing move when su:m37 was created…to get the younger girls to like the brand and then when they are older to switch to History of whoo….this is what I am thinking so far..having tried both brands…what do you think?:)…kind regards…Lily
