Algenist Ultimate Anti-Aging Melting Cleanser. Scinic Aqua EX Cleansing Treatment. Konjac sponge

Hi guys, today I am doing a huge Cleansing demo video, exploring a new Cleansing trend taking both Korean and non-Korean beauty market by storm….this trend is Oil in Gel cleansers.…and also I am on the look out for Serum Cleansers…a brand new trend developing in Korea only for the moment.

One of the recent cleansing trends that has been huge in Korea is a Balm to Oil cleansing method which is has been hugely successful with the launch of Banila & Co signature cleansing product Clean it Zero. (which i also review in this video)—many other Korean brands have copied this concept with many people raving about Tony Moly`s version of the product. Aqua Porin Sherbet Cleanser….(both products pictured below)….I think it is cool trend worth a try…but in summary I think Algenist has taken this trend a step further by doing one of the most luxurious cleansers I have ever tried…the unique concept of fine gel going into the most silky oil and finally turning into a light milky essence/emulsion on contact with water. I have not been so impressed with a Western brand cleanser..since trying Philosophy`s “Purity Made Simple”.

Here is another pic of the the brands I have been exploring different cleansingg concepts from…Gel to oil, Gel to Milk, Gel to Balm, Micellar Water and Micellar Lotion.

Whilst I am totally in love with the new Algenist cleanser, I am not ready to forgo my amazing Korean Scinic Aqua Ex Cleansing Essence…which has pioneered a Cleansing Serum concept around 2 years ago. so I now combine Algenist with Scinic + plus I have been become a huge fan of the Konjac sponge…and here is my New Must Have Cleansing Method

  1. Hey Lily, let me just say that i love your vids and blog ! They’re very helpful ! I’ve listed down a few products i want to try but i just want to be sure they’re right for me so can you please help me out ? Im 16 years old (turning 17 this May),with normal-dry,senstive skin.My only skin problem is that its NOT smooth !! Like sometimes i can see these small bumps on my face ! Im currently following a routine my doctor suggested.Im looking for a product that’ll also improve my skin’s elasticity. So far these are the ones i’ve considered :
-Missha Time Revolution night repair science activator ampoule
    -Missha First treatment essence
-The Faceshop baby face collagen pomegranate pack
-Missha secret recipe firming pomegranate mask
    -OST vitamin C20 serum
    -Its skin CO/GF/YE/WH effector
-The faceshop rice water brightening cleansing light oil.
Can you recommend me any other products ? (Under 50 USD dollars if possible). Thanks alot ! 😀

    1. Dear Sabytonni…I would honestly recommend to stick with your doctor`s recommendations because if there is a doctor involved then it may be something a little more serious then just a general skin problem, and since I am not a doctor…I am a little hesitant to give out general beauty advice if there is a doctor prescribed regimen that you follow….i hope you can understand where i am coming from…best regards…Lily

  2. Tania

    Hey Lily
Where did you get this sponge?
I have checked bag. There are so many of them.
Which one to choose? Please help!
    Thank you in advance.

    1. Dear Tania I got mine from Kiko Milano store…I honestly think that they are pretty much the same from everywhere …just make sure that it is a Konjac sponge though…best regards,,,,Lily

  3. Dear Lily, in all the Scinic range of products, which ones would you recommend for oily-combo skin that needs pore refinement and tightening? Would really appreciate your opinion. Thanks. 🙂
